Job Title: Clean Room Assembler / Production OperatorJob DescriptionThis role focuses on assembling small, precision components in a clean, climate-controlled production environment. You will work with microscopes, tweezers, laser equipment, and computer interfaces to produce high-quality parts, perform detailed inspections, and support post-processing and shipping activities. The position requires strong hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standardized procedures while meeting production and quality goals. Responsibilities • Assemble small, delicate components using fine motor skills and tools such as tweezers. • Operate laser cutting machines, including loading parts, aligning parts via computer, and initiating the cutting process. • Perform quality inspections using microscopes, magnifying equipment, micrometers, calipers, and detailed visual checks. • Accurately record production and inspection data using computer systems and data entry tools. • Follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and safety protocols at all times. • Handle post-processing tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, packaging, and preparing parts for shipping. • Work in a clean room environment when required, including suiting up in appropriate clean room attire. • Maintain a high level of accuracy, consistency, and quality across all production tasks. • Adapt to day-to-day changes in priorities and workflow in a fast-paced production setting. • Collaborate with a passionate and supportive team to meet production targets and quality standards. • Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support continuous production operations. • Participate in initial training and ongoing skill development to learn new processes, tools, and equipment. Essential Skills • Strong attention to detail and precision in handling small components. • Comfort working with small parts and tools such as tweezers in a production environment. • Ability to work with microscopes and magnifying equipment for detailed inspection tasks. • 1+ year of experience in a role requiring attention to detail and/or quality control, ideally using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, or similar inspection tools. • 1+ year of experience with small part assembly requiring fine dexterity skills. • 1+ year of experience performing data entry and using computer systems in a work setting. • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality standards. • Willingness to learn new processes and operate specialized equipment such as laser cutting machines. • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekdays, nights, and potential weekend schedules. • Good attendance, reliability, and commitment to meeting production and quality expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 1+ year of experience in a medical-related position is a plus. • 1+ year of experience with ERP systems is a plus. • 1+ year of experience with Epicor ERP is a plus. • Comfort working in a clean room environment and following strict cleanliness and safety procedures. • Ability to document work clearly and accurately for quality and production records. • Adaptability to frequent changes in daily tasks and production priorities. • Strong teamwork and communication skills in a collaborative environment. Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a clean, organized, and climate-controlled facility that combines both sitting and standing throughout the shift. Team members wear casual attire such as jeans, a polo shirt, or a nice t-shirt, and regular shoes; steel-toe boots are not required. Safety goggles are provided due to the use of laser equipment, and when working in the clean room, employees suit up in appropriate clean room garments each day. The environment is fast-paced, with day-to-day changes that require adaptability, and the team is highly collaborative and passionate about their work. Multiple shift options are available, including 1st shift (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday), 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 10:30 PM, Monday–Friday), and 3rd shift (10:30 PM – 6:30 AM, starting Sunday night). New hires receive approximately one week of training on 1st shift, with additional training for weekend roles as needed. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kettering, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.40/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
