Job Title: Metal Finisher - Night ShiftJob DescriptionWe are seeking two dedicated metal finishers to join our night shift team in a dynamic sheet metal shop. This role involves lifting, sanding, and some grinding, with an opportunity to advance into a highly skilled grinder position as the current top grinders are set to retire. Metal finishing will be a key part of your daily responsibilities. Responsibilities • Assist in a sheet metal shop by performing tasks such as lifting, sanding, and grinding. • Transition into a highly skilled grinder position by learning from experienced team members. • Perform metal finishing tasks to ensure high-quality production standards. • Utilize both hand and power tools for metal fabrication and finishing. • Move materials as needed and operate a grinder for most of the shift. Essential Skills • Experience in labor, manufacturing, and production environments. • Proficiency in sanding, grinding, and working with metal. • Ability to work with hand and power tools effectively. • Familiarity with sheet metal work and metal finishing processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Must own steel-toed boots. • Experience in a metal fabrication shop is advantageous. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Salt Lake, UT. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
