The Trust is looking for a clinical commercial specialist to work as a conduit between procurement and theatres. The key responsibility of the role will be to identify and manage the delivery of financial savings and efficiencies within clinical areas. This will include product trails and switches, key supplier relationship management, and commercial contract management. The successful candidate will have expeience of working within both a commercial and clinical environment with stronmg knowledge of a lareg range of clinical products. Ideally the commercial environment will have been within the healthcare sector and the clinical expeinece will have been gained in the theatres setting.
Main duties of the job
develop and deliver the procurement savings strategy in theatres (target of £500,000 per annum) Facilitate trials of alternate products negotiate favourable contractual terms with suppliers monitor and manage supplier performance against agreed terms produce and present analysis on spend data to clinical leaders act as a conduit between procurement and theatres collaborate with peer organisations across Kent & Medway to drive standardisation and benefit from economies of scale.

MCIPS full by qualification or other relevant professional qualification or commercial experience PRINCE 2 Foundation
Experience/Knowledge Essential
Advanced knowledge of contracts, procurement legislation and purchasing procedures Experience of working in a clinical setting or equivalent specialist knowledge of clinical products Advanced knowledge of procurement statistical analysis, option modelling and benefit realisation Proven track record in innovation with an ability to inspire Demonstrable experience of influencing people and leading change projects
