About this role

Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 radiographer to join the existing MRI Team.

Staff must be happy to work on the CRH and HRI sites and Huddersfield CDC.

Extended working days and weekend working will form part of the role and applicants should be happy to take part in doing this.

Main duties of the job

We currently have five MRI scanners for the Trust, two new Phillips scanners on the CRH site, and on the Huddersfield site a new Philips 1.5 and a 3T being installed this year. The Trust has a CDC in Huddersfield with another new Philips 1.5

We provide both an out-patient and in-patient service including a very wide range of examinations such as cardiac, vascular, obstetric and paediatric via GA and distraction.You will be working in a busy environment, on a flexible hours rota, across both sites.

You will be required to work both within the team and autonomously. You should have excellent communication skills and be committed to providing a high standard of care.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING Essential

BSc/DCR HCPC Registration IV Cannulation Course

Desirable

Post Graduate Qualification in modality

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE Essential

Good broad experience of general radiography and evidence of recent continuous experience in speciality. Substantial recent experience of working as an MRI Radiographer Good working knowledge of the MHRA Safety Guidelines for MRI and Health and Safety at work policies Ability to use initiative, be methodical, accurate and practical. IT keyboard skills and computer literate

Desirable

Experience in other modalities Evidence of involvement in Research and Audit

COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS (INCLUDING MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES) Essential

Friendly, reliable, good communicator and team worker Ability to organise other staff, prioritise work and solve problems
