About this role

Job summary

Community Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) - Band 3

£30,142 - £32,346 Inclusive of Hcas pro rata per annum

Hours: FT preferred, some PT available. First 8 weeks of employment require full-time 37.5 Hours per week training.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK - sponsorship not available.

You'll work across a 7-day rota (7.5 hrs/day), including weekends & bank holidays. Shifts: 8.15-4.15 or 10.45-6.45.

The RoleJoin Bromley Healthcare's District Nursing Teams in Bromley, Beckenham, Orpington, or Biggin Hill, delivering care in patients' homes. You'll provide person-centred support for people with long-term conditions, rehabilitation needs, or end-of-life care, plus delegated clinical tasks (e.g. observations, wound care, catheter support) depending on your competencies.

Band 3 Competent: For experienced staff confident in a wide range of delegated tasks.

What You'll Do:

Deliver high-quality personal and clinical care to patients in the community

Support individuals with long term conditions, post-hospital care, and patients at end of life

Working autonomously but have access to the support and supervision of experienced community nurses.

Promote independence, dignity and wellbeingin our patient and carer communities

What You'll Need:

A genuine interest in working in community healthcare

Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Level 2 functional skills in Maths & English or equivalent qualification Care Certificate

Desirable

level 3 diploma / NVQ in health & social care or equivalent experience

Experience Essential

Experience working in a customer care setting

Desirable

experience in providing hands on care in any setting: community, hospital, domiciliary or unpaid (e.g. Family care)

Skills Essential

Good verbal and written communication skills Able to record information accurately with attention to detail Able to work independently and within time constraints

IT Essential

Ability to use MS Office

Other Essential

Access to a car for work and valid full UK driving licence
