Job summary
We are looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work with our leadership team to manage the therapy staffing rosters within the AHP Urgent Care service (Inpatient Therapies). Your role will be to ensure the rosters are accurate (including on call payments, bank holidays, weekend working), assist with calculating leave entitlements (e.g. for staff returning from maternity leave) and assist with unpicking net hours discrepancies. You will work alongside the roster co-ordinator for Care and Support Community (Therapies Outpatients) and cross cover periods of annual leave etc.
This role is a pivotal member of the Therapy Administration team and supports the day to day administration of the Therapies service. You will work with Allied Health Professionals at all levels as well as the senior management team.
The ability to remain calm under pressure, possess excellent communication skills and work to tight deadlines is essential, along with professional manner, team working and ability to prioritise effectively.
Previous experience working with e-rostering systems is essential, together with a working knowledge of Healthroster (Allocate) and Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, is essential. Experience of working in the NHS is desirable.
Main duties of the job
Compilation of accurate and timely rosters for therapy staff working across the service, a minimum of 8 weeks in advance, to allow early identification of staffing shortfall.
Compilation and provision of out of hours, bank holiday and weekend rotas for the department.
Key responsibility in providing administrative support in relation to the working patterns of therapy staff in the department, as well as supporting with the administration relating to sick leave, special leave, holiday planning and attendance management
To manage the rosters on a day to day basis, ensuring issues are flagged to the appropriate manager for action in a timely manner.
To act as the first and central point of contact for roster co-ordination and roster queries for all therapy staff within the Department.
To ensure unresolved roster issues are escalated to the Team Leads, or Therapy Leads as appropriate.
To work with the members of the Therapy Administration team and management team to support other administrative and clerical duties as required.
