Job summary

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Ward 5a is a busy ENT, Plastics and female surgical ward, we are looking for a Dynamic registered nurse to join our team and support patients to receive the best care, we pride our-self on our good team work and happy work place.The role of the band 5 on ward 5A is diverse and has lots of training opportunities from tracheostomy to leech therapy, all training will be given to the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

To provide patient with evidence and researched based care, support junior staff, to look after patients in a safe and clean environment, to manage safeguarding of vulnerable adults, to give kind and compassionate care to patients.

Medication rounds, wound management, precise and clear documentation, ensuring care plans are clear and up to date, looking after patients nutritional needs and ensuring we encourage independence.Mentoring junior staff and students.

Qualifications / Training Essential

Registered Nurse on part 1, part 2 or part 12 of the NMC register Commitment to lifelong learning Evidence of further education, training and on-going learning Ability to produce updated personal professional portfolio

Evidence of Assessing and Mentorship qualification Evidence of appropriate Specialist Qualification

Skills Essential

Evidence of good communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team Good self-awareness of professional limitations within NMC Code of Conduct Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate good organisational skills Computer literacy

Venipuncture and cannulation
