Job summary
We are looking to appoint a Part Time / 8PA's Consultant Haematologist with an interest in Myeloma at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.

Main duties of the job
With respect to this post, the appointee will work within a team dedicated to state-of-the-art and comprehensive management of plasma cell neoplasms (Myeloma, Plasmacytoma and Type AL Amyloid) including delivery of both autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplant and CAR T cell therapy. The Myeloma team also looks after patients with Aplastic Anaemia and patients with Autoimmune + Neurological disorders undergoing intensive Haematology treatments.
The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues, contribute to the provision of inpatient, day case and outpatient haemato-oncology and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (as per JACIE standards).

Qualifications Essential
Full registration (with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC). Name on the specialist register for Haematology or eligible within 6 months of the date of the interview. If an applicant is UK trained, they must also be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview. Clinical experience Essential
Specialist training in the clinical management of hematological disorders. Experience of working within the UK National Health Service Ability to work as an independent practitioner in Haematology. Possess broad clinical experience in the general aspects of the post plus any specific experience required for the post.
