Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week. Mon-Fri 0900-1730 with contribution to lates, Saturday and on-calls on a rota basis

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Specialist Oncology Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at Private Care at Guys, part of London Bridge Hospital, currently rated "Outstanding by the CQC.

London Bridge Hospital is one of the UKs largest private healthcare hospitals specialising in complex and acute care. Spread over three main buildings and five outpatient centres, it is home to a number of specialist units and teams across a wide range of disciplines including orthopaedic, spinal, digestive diseases, liver, hepatobiliary, renal, cardiothoracic, critical care, cancer and transplant services.

The successful post-holder will be based at Private Care at Guys which is our joint venture with the NHS. As one of the UKs most advanced private cancer centres, Private Care at Guys brings together state of the art facilities, internationally recognised consultants and multidisciplinary team known for clinical excellence and compassion. Our centre includes dedicated chemotherapy and radiotherapy services, modern theatres, oncology and surgical wards, and a four bed intensive care unit supporting complex patient pathways.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Specialist Oncology Pharmacist, you will participate in the delivery, management and development of a high quality, proactive, cost effective, safe and responsive patient-centric systemic anti-cancer (SACT) pharmacy service at Private Care at Guys. You will work also have the opportunity to work closely with (& at times deputise for) the Lead Pharmacist for Oncology and Haematology and other members of our multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that our patients are able to safely access the very latest treatments in oncology.

Job description Job responsibilities

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

MPharm or equivalent (essential) Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)

Desirable

Post graduate diploma/masters in clinical pharmacy or equivalent Independent Prescriber

Experience Essential

Experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service to wards (post-registration) Previous experience of working in Oncology Practical experience in an Aseptic Production Unit & GMP

Desirable

Mosaiq, BD Cato, Meditech knowledge
