We are seeking an exceptional Senior Administration Assistant to join our team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive, and motivated individual to play a key role in supporting the effective delivery of our services. The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department while maintaining excellent standards of customer service and professionalism.

Working closely with colleagues, managers, and key stakeholders, you will contribute to a collaborative and supportive working environment, demonstrating strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a varied workload. This fixed-term position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, further develop your skills, and make a meaningful contribution during an important period of service development and improvement.

Main duties of the job

Providing admin support to the team and medics. Organising clinics, appointments, inputting onto SystmOne, general tasks, liaising with clients, carers. Reception cover. A high level of organisational an interpersonal skill required. Ability to change improve procedures. Problem solving. Experience of using software including Microsoft Word / excel would be advantageous as would the use of SystmONe. Supervision and guidance for less experienced staff will also be expected. A flexible approach will be expected for absence / annual leave cover.

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of a range of administrative work procedures and practices Literate and numerate level 2

Desirable

Knowledge of medical terminology

Experience Essential

Knowledge and experience of IT systems (S1) o Experience of organising clinics and appointments Problem solving skills / Deal with queries Make improvements to admin procedures & processes when necessary

Advanced keyboard skills: RSA/OCR III or equivalent/Advanced ECDL Good standard of maths/english (level 2)
