Job Title: Construction CleanerJob DescriptionThis role focuses on performing final cleaning for a large data center construction project, ensuring the facility and server areas are thoroughly cleaned and ready for operation. You will work on an active commercial and industrial construction site, cleaning server racks and surrounding infrastructure to meet strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities • Clean and wipe down server racks and related equipment throughout the data center. • Sweep, mop, and dust floors and surfaces across the facility, including high-traffic and construction areas. • Perform detailed dusting of servers, wires, and overhead structures while working at heights on ladders (up to approximately 8 feet). • Use broom dusters and other cleaning tools to remove dust and debris from hard-to-reach areas. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with construction site protocols. • Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and lift equipment. • Operate scissor lifts and other approved lift equipment when certified and as needed for high-level cleaning tasks. • Collaborate with the onsite team to complete the final cleaning scope within project timelines. • Communicate professionally with team members and, when applicable, with customers or onsite stakeholders. • Properly handle and use cleaning equipment such as buffers and other industrial cleaning tools, when required. Essential Skills • Prior cleaning experience, ideally in a commercial or industrial setting. • Experience working on commercial or industrial construction sites. • Comfort working at heights and on ladders up to approximately 8 feet. • OSHA 10 certification in construction safety. • Lift certification, including experience with construction lifts. • Ability to use basic cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, dusters, and similar equipment. • Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance for early morning shifts. • Ability to follow safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Additional Skills & Qualifications • Janitorial or sanitation experience in any environment. • Customer service experience involving direct customer interaction. • Experience using buffers or other industrial cleaning equipment. • Experience operating scissor lifts or boom lifts, which is a significant plus. • Strong attention to detail in cleaning high-value equipment and technical spaces. • Ability to work effectively on a construction site as part of a coordinated team. Work EnvironmentThis position is based on a data center construction site with work hours from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Employees wear jeans and steel-toe boots, while all other personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided on site. Work is hands-on and physical, involving regular use of cleaning tools and equipment in an active construction area with strict safety standards. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
