Job Title: Stamping OperatorPay$18-$20/HourShift1st: M-Th 5a-3:30p Job DescriptionThe Stamping Operator will work in a stamping department, operating a stamping press to manufacture gutter parts with a strong focus on safety and quality. This role involves running production equipment, assembling and labeling boxes for shipment, inspecting parts using visual checks and tape measurements, and moving finished products to the warehouse using a pallet jack.Responsibilities
• Operate a stamping press to manufacture gutter parts in a safe and efficient manner. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with stamping equipment and related machinery. • Perform visual inspections of stamped parts to identify defects or quality issues. • Measure parts with a tape measure to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances. • Assemble shipping boxes, place finished parts inside, and apply appropriate shipping labels. • Close and secure boxes and stack them neatly on pallets for shipment. • Use a pallet jack to move finished product pallets from the production area to the warehouse. • Maintain awareness of RAM pressure and machine operation to ensure safe and correct stamping performance. • Support general machine operation tasks and demonstrate mechanical aptitude in handling equipment. • Collaborate with team members and follow instructions to meet production goals and quality standards. Essential Skills
• Experience operating production or stamping machinery, preferably as a machine operator. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately for part inspection and verification. • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment such as stamping presses, lathes, and mills. • Understanding of basic metal rolling and metal stamping processes. • Ability to recognize and safely manage RAM pressure and machine movement during stamping operations. • Basic math skills, with the ability to successfully complete a basic math test. • Attention to detail for visual inspection and measurement-based quality checks. • Ability to safely operate a pallet jack in an industrial environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Previous machine operator experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting is preferred. • Experience with metal rolling or metal stamping equipment is an advantage. • Familiarity with lathe and mill operations is beneficial. • Comfort working in a large industrial complex with multiple plants. The environment is not climate controlled, so conditions may vary with the seasons. The position is scheduled on first shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with one 30-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks, and occasional work on Fridays as needed. Work involves standing, operating stamping presses and related equipment, handling metal parts, assembling boxes, and using a pallet jack to move pallets to the warehouse. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
