Job SummaryYou will serve as a EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the Australia Maintenance Support-220AU ofPEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF . The location for this position is Garden Island, Australia.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes: directing all material procurement, operational support and tracking, conducting analysis of process deficiencies AND reading and interpreting drawings and blueprint for systems and components to support material ordering and operability in accordance with specifications. Major DutiesYou will manage the ordering and purchasing of all materials required for maintenance and repair projects.You will identify, research, and analyze different material sources and substitute parts to meet project needs.You will review material certifications to ensure parts are manufactured according to the correct specifications.You will provide information and guidance to project teams on material requirements, supply sources, and purchasing.You will track materials for equipment upgrades and advise the project coordinator on their status and delivery.You will evaluate supplier proposals, get price quotes, and advise the project team on purchasing decisions.
