About this role

Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals is recruiting motivated, reliable and detail-focused individuals to join our Endoscopy Decontamination teams across multiple sites. This is a vital role that directly supports safe patient care by ensuring endoscopes are reprocessed, disinfected and stored to the highest standards.

You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for the safe turnaround of endoscopy equipment, ensuring clinical areas can continue to deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Re-process used endoscopes to ensure they are safe and ready for reuse.

Manually clean endoscopes prior to placing them into washer-disinfectors for high-level disinfection.

Prepare endoscopes for placement into drying and storage cabinets following decontamination.

Operate and complete required daily testing on all disinfection and processing equipment, following Standard Operating Procedures.

Work flexibly across sites, including King's Mill Hospital, Newark Hospital and the Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC).
