About this role

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Business Support Team (NHIS) for a Clinical Business Analyst Team leader. This is a full-time permanent post.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organisational and line management skills. The successful candidate will support and empower end users to use clinical systems effectively through the analysis, training, digital transformation initiatives and project workstreams, including system upgrades and new system rollouts. You will line manage a small collaborative team working across the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Health Community to achieve shared goals and support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Person Specification

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of the role and importance of Health informatics within the NHS. Significant Line management experience. Knowledge of related local and national strategies and policies. PRINCE methodology. Extensive knowledge of Business processes.

Qualifications Essential

Master's/Degree Level qualification or equivalent experience. Postgraduate qualification or equivalent or relevant experience. Significant Knowledge of Clinical applications. Knowledge of ITIL. PRINCE 2 Foundation Certificate in Project Management. Show evidence of continued professional development.

Desirable

ITIL qualified. Prince 2 Practitioner qualified.

Experience Essential

A minimum of 3 years systems experience. Production of Information Strategies/Business Cases/Option Appraisals. Experience of patient systems implementation. Experience in continuous improvement of development of clinical processes supported by Clinical Systems. Prior experience of designing Clinical System. Delivery of complex programmes of work using the PRINCE2 methodology. Extensive experience of managing multiple project work streams and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Previous experience of presenting written reports and communicating verbally to a wide-ranging audience. Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent time-management skills with a pro-active and flexible approach. Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and within a customer driven team.

Desirable

Previous NHS experience. Experience of using SystmOne to support patient care. Experience of managing staff. Audit or research experience within clinical environments. Experience and theoretical understanding of business change methodology.

Contractual Essential

Ability and willingness to work flexibly, outside of normal office hours, to meet the needs of the service. Ability to travel throughout the health community. Clean driving licence and use of own car.
