Job summary Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly organised Quality Governance Facilitator professional to join our Governance Support Unit. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the Trust's quality, safety and governance agenda, helping to ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care across our services. Working alongside experienced governance professionals, you will contribute to clinical risk management, organisational learning, Duty of Candour compliance, governance reporting and quality assurance activities. The role offers a varied workload with opportunities to develop skills in data analysis, report production, meeting administration, governance systems and quality improvement. Person Specification
Further Training Desirable
Formal training in governance, compliance, risk management or related disciplines. Trained in database or business administration system maintenance.
Contractual Requirements Essential
Flexible approach to working including a willingness and ability to travel to other SFH sites as well as external locations.
Knowledge Essential
Understanding of the NHS quality and effectiveness agenda, priorities and requirements. Knowledge of compliance, risk and audit systems and methodologies. Knowledge of administrative procedures and specialist IT systems. Knowledge of project management. Strong communication skills: verbal, written and presentational. Awareness of data quality and information governance principles and requirements. Good personal organisation, prioritisation and time management skills. Good working knowledge of general administrative and IT practices and packages, including MS Office applications.
Desirable
Knowledge of NHS governance and compliance management systems and processes. Awareness of a range of data processing, analysis and problem solving methods. Datix system experience.
Qualifications Essential
Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent qualification; or experience gained in a comparable environment.

Diploma level qualification or equivalent
Experience Essential
Demonstrable experience of monitoring compliance with established standards and guidelines within a large and complex organisation. Experience of using and maintaining corporate records using a database, including the production of professional reports to meet internal and external requirements. Previous NHS experience.
Desirable
Proven experience in managing activities related to NICE and other formal guidance.. Demonstrable experience of analysing complex data and presenting in a user friendly format. Experience of providing staff training in a range of different ways (to individuals and groups).
