Direct Hire in Union!Location: West Caldwell, NJShift: 6am-2:30pm (Monday-Friday) Pay: $28-$30+/hour ; Overtime: $42-$45+/hour (Overtime is Available)Type of Position: Direct Hire in Union (medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation pay, and guaranteed incremental pay increases, etc.)Job DescriptionThe Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating hydraulic press brake equipment to fabricate precision metal components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint-reading skills, experience working with measuring instruments, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. Success in this position requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances while meeting production goals.Responsibilities
• Set up and operate hydraulic press brake equipment. • Fabricate precision metal components according to engineering drawings and customer specifications. • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Perform quality inspections and maintain tight tolerances. • Ensure reliable attendance and a safety-conscious mindset. • Work independently and as part of a production team. • Handle machine setups, tooling changes, and basic machine troubleshooting. Essential Skills
• 4+ years of Press Brake operation experience. • Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. • Strong understanding of metal fabrication and bending processes. • Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain tight tolerances. • Capable of working independently and as part of a production team. • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders. • Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. • Strong mathematical skills, including fractions, decimals, and basic geometry. • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices is a plus.
