As a Material Inspector, you will inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards before shipment, support inventory and materials management, and accurately enter and track data in the company’s ERP system. Responsibilities • Assist with inventory control activities, including performing cycle counts and organizing stock to maintain accurate inventory levels. • Support material management for finished goods and pressroom supplies to ensure materials are available and properly staged for operations. • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or shortages and collaborate with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly. • Conduct final quality inspections on finished goods prior to shipment to confirm they meet established quality standards. • Verify the accuracy of items, quantities, labeling, and packaging against order requirements and shipping documentation. • Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies and ensure adherence to defined quality and inspection criteria. • Document and report quality issues clearly and accurately, coordinating with production and logistics teams to drive timely resolution. • Ensure only approved, quality-checked products are released for shipment to customers. • Enter, update, and retrieve data accurately within the company’s ERP system to support inventory, production, and shipping processes. • Learn and effectively utilize company software applications, including ERP and basic office software, to perform daily tasks. • Demonstrate ownership of work by supporting different aspects of operations within a small, growing team environment. • Collaborate with teammates across departments, contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture and assisting where needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Recent experience in shipping and receiving, material inspection, or inventory control. • Recent manufacturing or quality assurance experience, particularly in a warehouse or production setting. • Warehouse clerk experience, including familiarity with inventory organization and materials handling. • Experience using Microsoft Office or similar office software for basic documentation and communication. • Knack for quality and continuous improvement, with an interest in maintaining high standards. • Experience in quality inspection roles, including documenting and reporting nonconformances. • Prior military service (U.S. military veteran experience) is valued as a background, particularly for reliability, discipline, and ownership. Work EnvironmentThe work takes place in a new, clean, climate-controlled manufacturing and warehouse facility focused on high-quality production and inspection. The environment is hands-on and team-oriented, with close collaboration between production, quality, logistics, and inventory functions. There are multiple shift options, including two first-shift positions running from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and one second-shift position running from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. Employees regularly work with finished goods, pressroom supplies, and inventory systems, using ERP software and basic office applications to manage data and documentation. The facility emphasizes professionalism, safety, and reliability, with a practical, warehouse-appropriate dress code suitable for hands-on work in a production and inspection setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Round Rock, TX. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
