Join the Welcome Treatment Centre team as a Chemotherapy Nurse Specialist at King's Mill Hospital!

Are you a dedicated and compassionate nurse seeking a rewarding opportunity in haematology, gastroenterology, rheumatology and Cancer care?

As a Specialist Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting our specialist nursing team in planning, implementing, and administering expert nursing care for patients. Your responsibilities will include providing specialised care, treatments and support to both patients and their carers across various specialties within the Trust.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

Collaborate with the MDT for multiple specialities , including Consultants and CNS teams. Ensure the continuity of an integrated, seamless, and holistic approach to oncology care for service users. Actively contribute to the development and enhancement of patient care standards.

Contractual Requirements Essential

Continued Professional Development Regular Attendance Ability to work flexibly within working hours of ward/department Demonstrate professionalism and patient advocacy

Knowledge Requirements Essential

Well developed communication skills and time management Effective organisational abilities SACT Passport completed First level degree, or equivalent knowledge, in related subject Significant relevant post registration experience in specialist area Evidence of teaching experience, either formally or in informal settings

Qualifications Essential

First Level Registered Nurse Chemotherapy administration (Min 6 months) Blood transfusion administration

Willingness to undertake further training as required by the speciality

Understanding and knowledge of specialist area Cannulation and venepuncture Post registration experience in a clinical setting Experience as shift co-ordinator
