Job summary
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Therapies team, assessing a young person in York.
This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist occupational therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex additional therapy needs to achieve meaningful, functional outcomes that improve participation and independence and address heightened sensitivity challenges.
Main duties of the job
Deliver 3-hour initial assessment with report (Non-EHCNA)
Promote and inclusive approach
Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary teams and produce report as required

About You
We'relooking for someone who has experience of working with children and young people who present with:
ADHD
Developmental Coordination Disorder
Language disorder
Social communication challenges
Movement seeking and lack of maintaining attention
Needs verbal prompts to complete daily activities
Sensory sensitivity
Behind academically
Needs support with personal care activities for example, brushing teeth
Experiences discomfort and hand fatigue with writing tasks
Challenges in fine motor manipulation, particularly in activities requiring coordination
What We Offer
£70 per hour
£40 per hour travel time
55p per mile mileage
Flexible working arrangements agreed between the therapist, school,familyand young person.
