Job summary

We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Therapies team, assessing a young person in York

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver specialist speech and language therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping a young person with complex communication needs to develop functional communication skills, increase independence and thrive within their educational environmnet.

Deliver 3-hour initial assessment with report (Non-EHCNA)

Promote and inclusive approach

Maintain accurate clinical records, liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team and produce report as required

About You

We'relooking for someone who has experience of working with children and young people who present with:

ADHD

Developmental Coordination Disorder

Language Disorder effecting receptive and expressive language skills

Challenges with inference and verbal reasoning

Difficulties producing multisyllable words accurately

Social communication challenges

Movement seeking and lack of maintaining attention

Needs verbal prompts to complete daily activities

What We Offer

£70 per hour

£40 per hour travel time

55p per mile mileage

Flexible working arrangements agreed between the therapist, school,familyand young person.
