Job DescriptionThis role supports a high-volume parts distribution center by accurately picking, packing, and staging a wide range of agricultural equipment parts for shipment. You will work primarily on your feet, using RF scanners and material handling equipment to sort products, build pallets, and support loading and unloading activities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Responsibilities
• Sort boxes and place them in the correct pick pallet locations for forklift operators to retrieve and move. • Perform approximately 70% of daily tasks in picking and packing products that vary significantly in size and weight. • Handle products ranging from small, hand-held boxes to heavy machine parts weighing up to approximately one thousand pounds, using lifts and appropriate material handling equipment when required. • Use an RF scanner to accurately locate, pick, and record inventory and order information. • Pick and pack orders according to pick lists and instructions, ensuring correct part numbers, quantities, and destinations. • Label products, boxes, and pallets accurately to support correct shipping and inventory tracking. • Build, wrap, and stage pallets for shipment, ensuring they are stable, secure, and correctly identified. • Assist with loading and unloading semi-trailers with completed pallets and incoming materials as needed. • Support general warehouse duties including material handling, palletizing, inventory-related tasks, and basic assembly as required. • Follow quality and attention-to-detail standards to prevent shipping errors, especially for products being shipped internationally. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines. • Work mandatory overtime when required to meet operational needs. • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and forklift operators to ensure smooth workflow. Essential Skills
• At least 6 months of warehouse experience. • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed. • Comfort working on your feet for the majority of the shift. • Experience with general warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, palletizing, and material handling. • Ability to use or learn RF scanners for order picking and inventory tracking. • Willingness and ability to work mandatory overtime when required. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to quality standards. • Reliability and consistency in attendance and punctuality. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Island, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
