Job Title: Customer Sales Associate / Warehouse TechnicianJob DescriptionThis on-site hybrid role combines customer sales associate and warehouse technician responsibilities within a supply store environment. You will serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customers, using your product knowledge to resolve parts and equipment issues and provide accurate solutions quickly. In addition, you will support day-to-day warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and safe forklift operation. This position follows a consistent weekday schedule and offers the intent to convert to a permanent role after 12 months.Responsibilities
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customers visiting the supply store, both in person and over the phone. • Provide customer support by identifying appropriate solutions for parts and equipment issues and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. • Partner with customers to grow sales by recommending related or complementary products and promoting available offerings. • Process customer orders accurately, including entering quotes, creating invoices, and monitoring order fulfillment to completion. • Handle customer inquiries, questions, and concerns related to parts and supply offerings in a timely and professional manner. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and offerings to deliver a high-quality customer experience. • Utilize basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, to support daily sales and operational activities. • Use Salesforce as needed to support customer and sales processes, leveraging prior experience if available. • Stock, organize, and maintain product inventory to support smooth showroom and warehouse operations. • Keep the warehouse and showroom clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards and procedures. • Support warehouse operations, including safe forklift operation, inventory management, logistics coordination, and shipping and receiving tasks. • Lift up to 50 pounds as required to move, stock, or retrieve products and materials. • Work overtime or weekends when business needs require additional coverage or support. • Follow all safety guidelines and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, organization, and safe work practices. Essential Skills
• High School Diploma or GED. • Experience in inside sales, retail, or a related field. • Background in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment emphasizing customer service, continuous improvement, merchandising, organization, and safety. • Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, including in challenging situations. • Customer service skills with the ability to identify customer needs and provide appropriate solutions. • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. • Ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner. • Capability to process orders, quotes, and invoices accurately and efficiently. • Ability to safely operate a forklift, with forklift experience required. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of regular job duties. • Willingness to work overtime or weekends when business needs require. • Experience using Salesforce or similar customer relationship management tools is helpful but not required. • Experience in a warehouse, supply store, or distribution environment. • Familiarity with inventory management, shipping and receiving, and logistics coordination. • Comfort working in a role that blends customer-facing responsibilities with hands-on warehouse tasks. • Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant showroom and warehouse. • Attention to detail when handling customer orders, inventory, and documentation. • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of customer service. You will use computers with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and may use Salesforce as part of daily activities. The warehouse and showroom are maintained to be clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards, and you will operate a forklift and handle inventory, shipping, and receiving tasks. The job involves lifting up to 50 pounds and working primarily at ground level, with no work performed over six feet.
