About this role

Job Title: Quality Control TechnicianJob DescriptionAs a Quality Control Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of quality in our production processes. You will conduct quality checks, manage document control, and verify raw materials to ensure compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities • Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods. • Ensure production lines adhere to standards and procedures. • Record inspection results by completing reports and summarizing re-works and wastes, inputting data into a quality database. • Train the production team on quality control measures. • Propose improvements to the quality control process. • Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe. • Utilize gauges such as ATP Meters and torque metrics to measure and ensure packaging meets specifications. • Assist in the development of test methods and inspection plans. • Aid in determining root causes of product defects. Essential Skills • Proficiency in quality control, quality inspection, and visual inspection. • Experience with quality checks and assurance. • Familiarity with production machines and batch record management. • Knowledge of GMP standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience in raw material verification. • Ability to propose and implement process improvements. • Strong communication skills for training and team collaboration. Work EnvironmentYou will work in a manufacturing environment with a schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:45 PM, with occasional extensions to 3:30 PM - 4 PM. Rotating shifts on Saturdays may be required. The facility is non-climate-controlled, fostering a family/team-oriented culture with transparent leadership. The team consists of approximately 12 people, and the culture emphasizes a 'Culture Code' with a focus on assisting on the production line when necessary. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Athens, TN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
