Job Title: Low Voltage TechnicianJob DescriptionThis role supports commercial low voltage projects across multiple facilities in the Cleveland area. You will assist with installing and terminating low voltage cabling, including CAT6, and help complete structured cabling work in active construction environments. This is a short-term assignment expected to last at least one month, with the possibility of additional work depending on project needs. Responsibilities • Install and secure wire mold and related low voltage raceway systems in commercial facilities. • Pull, route, and organize CAT6 and other low voltage cabling according to project specifications and industry standards. • Perform cable terminations and connections with attention to quality, reliability, and safety. • Support low voltage construction activities across multiple job sites, including assisted living communities, a steel plant, and an electrical distribution center. • Use basic hand tools and power tools safely while performing installations and terminations. • Follow site-specific safety procedures and comply with all applicable regulations and work rules. • Collaborate with other technicians and trades on-site to complete tasks efficiently and on schedule. • Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly handle, label, and store materials and tools. • Report progress, issues, and material needs to the lead technician or site supervisor in a timely manner. Essential Skills • Proven commercial construction experience, preferably in low voltage or electrical environments. • Hands-on experience installing low voltage cabling and related infrastructure. • Ability to pull, route, and terminate CAT6 cabling in commercial settings. • Capability to install and work with wire mold and similar raceway systems. • Comfort working in active construction and industrial environments such as assisted living communities, steel plants, and distribution centers. • Strong adherence to safety practices and ability to follow site-specific safety protocols. • Ability to travel to multiple job sites throughout the Cleveland area. • Physical ability to lift, carry, and work with tools and materials, including working on ladders and in various site conditions. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous experience in low voltage construction on commercial projects. • Familiarity with structured cabling standards and best practices. • Ability to read and follow basic instructions, layouts, or directions from supervisors or lead technicians. • Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support other technicians as needed. • Reliable transportation to reach different job sites in the Cleveland area. Standard construction attire and appropriate personal protective equipment are required to meet site safety standards. Work hours follow typical construction schedules and may vary by project and location. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Cleveland, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
