Job Title: Shipping and Receiving ClerkJob DescriptionThis role supports a medical device manufacturing operation by independently managing daily activities in the Shipping and Receiving department on first shift. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk receives incoming products and materials, processes outgoing shipments, and maintains accurate inventory records under the direction of the Materials Manager. The position follows detailed instructions, uses an ERP system as the system of record, and promptly reports any deviations or issues to the appropriate departments. Responsibilities • Receive incoming goods and materials based on proper paperwork, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all documentation. • Inspect incoming shipments and use sound judgment to reject potentially damaged goods, reporting quality concerns as needed. • Package, crate, bundle, and prepare products for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements. • Process outgoing shipments of products and materials, ensuring correct labeling, documentation, and timely dispatch. • Take ownership of counting inventory for finished goods and sub-assemblies, maintaining accurate records in the ERP system. • Use the ERP system as the primary system of record for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions. • Administer the issue and issue return of kits, ensuring proper tracking and documentation. • Run and review the daily backlog report from the ERP system to support on-time order fulfillment. • Coordinate and manage the delivery driver and delivery schedule to ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries. • Coordinate point-of-use staging so materials and products are available where and when they are needed. • Procure required items in alignment with department needs and established processes. • Identify and report quality concerns promptly to maintain high standards of product and process quality. • Ask questions and seek direction when needed to ensure tasks are completed correctly and safely. • Effectively give and receive feedback to support continuous improvement and strong teamwork. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including daily shift cleaning tasks. • Follow all safety requirements and procedures while performing shipping, receiving, and material handling duties. • Perform other duties or special projects as required or assigned by the supervisor. Essential Skills • High school diploma or general education degree. • At least 2 years of shipping or receiving experience. • Strong shipping and receiving skills, including packaging and packing of products for shipment. • Proficiency in data entry with excellent accuracy and attention to detail. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to use an ERP system as the system of record for inventory and transactions. • Good verbal communication skills with internal staff. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to identify and report quality concerns in a timely manner. • Willingness to ask questions, seek direction, and follow detailed instructions. • Commitment to following all safety requirements and procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Experience with Epicor ERP is preferred but not required. • Previous experience in a medical device or manufacturing environment is beneficial. • Ability to coordinate delivery schedules and work with drivers and internal stakeholders. • Capability to manage multiple tasks such as backlog reporting, staging, and procurement simultaneously. • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for inventory accuracy and order processing. • Comfort working independently while maintaining clear communication with supervisors and colleagues. Work EnvironmentThis position operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with 9-hour workdays. The role is based in a manufacturing and warehouse environment within a medical device facility. The work involves standing, sitting, and walking throughout the day, as well as using hands and fingers to handle or feel materials and products. The employee will frequently reach with hands and arms and must be able to talk and hear clearly to communicate with colleagues and drivers. The job may require climbing or balancing and involves occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling when accessing materials or equipment. The role may also require occasionally lifting and moving up to 50 pounds. Work is performed around shipping and receiving equipment, packaging materials, and computers running Microsoft Office and an ERP system, with an expectation of maintaining a clean and orderly workspace. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bristol, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
