Job Title: Electronic AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Assembler builds wire harnesses and cable assemblies using large schematic and blueprint boards. This role involves reading and interpreting detailed diagrams, routing and braiding wires, and connecting cables into various connectors using basic hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment.Responsibilities
• Assemble wire harnesses on large schematic and blueprint boards according to detailed instructions and diagrams. • Route and harness cables to complete wire harness assemblies, ensuring accurate placement and secure connections. • Braid wires neatly and consistently to meet quality and safety standards. • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints, including color-coded layouts, to determine the correct location for each wire and cable. • Connect wires and cables into different types of connectors, verifying proper fit and function. • Use basic hand tools and power tools to tighten, screw, and connect parts on the schematic board. • Maintain a high level of productivity while performing repetitive assembly tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Inspect assembled harnesses for accuracy, quality, and completeness before moving them to the next stage. • Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines when working with tools, equipment, and materials. • Keep the work area organized, clean, and free of hazards to support efficient assembly operations. Essential Skills
• At least 6 months of mechanical or electronic assembly experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred. • Ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks using basic hand tools and power tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams, including color-coded layouts. • Experience with wiring and cable assembly in a production or general labor setting. • Strong attention to detail to ensure wires and cables are routed and connected correctly. • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift while working on large schematic boards. • Capability to work productively in a highly active, fast-paced environment. • Wire harnessing experience is a plus. • Comfort using a variety of basic hand tools and power tools for assembly work. • Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, and color codes accurately. • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining quality and consistency. Standard shift options include first shift (approximately 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday) and second shift (approximately 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday). The environment allows listening to music or podcasts with one headphone, and a well-equipped breakroom is available for rest periods. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, MN. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
