About this role

Job Title: Vehicle Upfitting AssemblerJob DescriptionJoin a hands-on production team that installs cabinets, drawers, ladder racks, and other specialized equipment into a variety of vehicles. You will use power and hand tools to complete detailed assembly builds in a clean, climate-controlled facility while working closely with a small team on an assembly line.Responsibilities

• Install cabinets, drawers, ladder racks, and other equipment into a range of vehicles, including models such as F-150 and Mavericks. • Use a variety of power tools and hand tools to complete vehicle upfitting and assembly tasks according to specifications. • Follow detailed instructions and build plans to ensure accurate, high-quality installations. • Inspect work for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet standards and customer requirements. • Work in various body positions, including bending, lifting, and reaching into tight or awkward spaces to complete installations. • Collaborate with a team of approximately 10–20 individuals on the line and coordinate closely with 1–3 coworkers at each station. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following facility guidelines and safety procedures. • Wear required personal protective equipment at all times and follow all safety protocols. • Demonstrate reliable attendance and a positive attitude to support consistent production and team performance. Essential Skills

• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in an assembly or production environment. • Assembly, installing, or upfitting components, preferably in vehicles or general production. • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, proper fit, and quality installations. • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and working in awkward positions for extended periods. • Reliability in attendance and the ability to maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. • Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and work within a structured assembly-line process. Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in vehicle upfitting, general production, or similar mechanical/assembly work. • Comfort working with a variety of tools and equipment provided by the employer. • Ability to work effectively both independently at a station and collaboratively within a small team. • Willingness to adhere to all safety and PPE requirements, including safety glasses, steel toe shoes, jeans or work-material pants, and ear plugs where required. All tools required for the job are provided by the employer. Personal protective equipment is required, including safety glasses, steel toe shoes, durable jeans or work-material pants, and ear plugs for designated areas. The work involves physical activity such as bending, lifting, and working in occasionally awkward positions while performing installations on various vehicles. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
