Currently working 6p - 6aPosition Summary We are seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our steel manufacturing team as Overhead Crane Operators and Industrial Painters. This role involves safely handling steel materials throughout the facility using overhead cranes while also preparing and applying industrial coatings to steel products. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and committed to maintaining high quality and safety standards. Job Responsibilities
• Operate overhead cranes to move, load, unload, and transport steel materials throughout the facility. • Safely handle steel coils, beams, tubing, plate, and finished products. • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and production lines. • Conduct pre-operational equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns. • Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and blasting. • Apply industrial primers, coatings, and paint using spray equipment, rollers, and brushes. • Mix paints and coatings according to specifications. • Inspect painted and finished products to ensure quality standards are met. • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, production schedules, and job specifications. • Follow all OSHA regulations, plant safety policies, and PPE requirements. • Maintain painting and material handling equipment. • Collaborate with production teams to meet daily production goals. • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Qualifications
• Previous experience operating overhead cranes, industrial painting, or working in a steel manufacturing environment preferred. • Ability to safely work around heavy equipment and large steel products. • Knowledge of industrial painting techniques and surface preparation methods is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. • Ability to read and follow written instructions and specifications. • Forklift experience is a plus. • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $54080.00/yr.
