Construction Laborer Portland, ME | $20 - $27/hr | OSHA 10 & Reliable Transportation Required_________________________________________________________________________________We are seeking hardworking Construction Laborers to support concrete, masonry, and building restoration projects throughout the Portland, Maine area. • Assist with concrete restoration and repair projects. • Chip concrete, remove old paint, and prepare surfaces for restoration. • Support masonry work, including brick repair and installation. • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials. • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Assist with site preparation, demolition, and cleanup activities. • Follow project plans and directions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite. • Perform general labor duties as needed to support project completion. Qualifications
• 1-3 years of experience in construction, general labor, concrete, masonry, or a related field. • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. • Comfortable performing physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods. • Experience using hand tools and power tools. • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. • Ability to follow safety procedures and jobsite instructions. • OSHA-10 certification is a plus but not required. Work is performed outdoors and may involve heavy lifting, climbing, kneeling, and the operation of construction tools and equipment. • Ability to lift and carry up to 50-75 pounds on a regular basis. • Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday. • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, work boots, and a respirator • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for extended periods of time. • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely. • Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work surfaces when required. • Ability to perform repetitive motions, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and shoveling. • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight. • Must have sufficient physical stamina to perform demanding construction tasks in a fast-paced environment.
