Job SummaryYou will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Radiological Controls Department of PSNS and IMF.
QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: scheduling, prioritizing, and integrating complex ship or submarine maintenance, overhaul, and repair projects. Utilizing your deep knowledge of shipyard policies, procedures, and computer systems, you are skilled at conducting operational studies, leveling resources, and developing mitigation strategies to balance workload requirements. Additionally, you leverage advanced Excel proficiency to coordinate training and resolve critical scheduling conflicts across shipboard, shop production, and technical phases. Major DutiesYou will be independently planning, developing, and executing production control programs.You will consult with shipyard project Resource Managers, Nuclear Zone Managers, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to resolve complex production and staffing issues.You will be responsible for developing workload and manpower projections for complex ship maintenance and modernization programs.You will coordinate work schedules for projects involving processes and competing proiorities.You will assist in managing overall Department and Division staffing requirements.You will serve as the Code's representative for the workload forecasting and the maintenance of the Shipyard Workload and Resource Report (WARR).
