Please see Additional Information section below.*** You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Code C291 AEGIS Systems of Code C290 C5I Systems Division, Engineering and Planning Department of NAVAL SHIP REPAIR FACILITY.

QualificationsGS-12:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Aegis Baseline 9 C SPY radar transmitters and signal processors Multi-Mission Signal Processor (MMSP), and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for shipboard SPY components and auxiliary systems, including BSP Baseline 5, Baseline 7 Signal Processor (SIGPRO), In-Service Signal Processor (ISSP), SPY radar array, SPY transmitter, AEGIS cooling systems, and Warhead Data Receiving Cabinets (WDRC). Provides technical and engineering expertise in support of Fleet Technical Assists (FTAs) and CASREPS. Demonstrates extensive experience in the performance, operation, maintenance, depot-level repair, and modernization of SPY radar systems. Possesses advanced proficiency in system testing and certification, as well as fleet technical support, ensuring operational readiness and reliability. Utilizes proven analytical skills to identify, analyze, and document system deficiencies and develop comprehensive repair plans in support of depot-level work packages and ship system lifecycle programs. Provides on-site resolution and correction of production, performance, and quality deficiencies, ensuring the timely and effective restoration of system functionality. Participates in shipboard assessment events to validate material and operational readiness of assigned systems. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Provides foundational support for Aegis Baseline 9 C SPY radar transmitters and signal processors and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for shipboard SPY components and auxiliary systems, including BSP Baseline 5, Baseline 7 Signal Processor (SIGPRO), In-Service Signal Processor (ISSP), SPY radar array, SPY transmitter, AEGIS cooling systems, and Warhead Data Receiving Cabinets (WDRC). Assists with Fleet Technical Assists (FTAs) and CASREPS. Demonstrates general experience in the performance, operation, maintenance, and modernization of SPY radar systems. Displays a working knowledge of system testing and certification processes and contributes to fleet technical support under supervision. Applies basic analytical skills to assist in identifying, analyzing, and documenting deficiencies, supporting the development of repair plans for depot-level work packages and ship system lifecycle programs. Participates in on-site activities to assist with the resolution of production, performance, or quality deficiencies and supports scheduled shipboard assessment events to validate material and operational readiness of assigned systems. supporting SPY RADAR subject matter expert (SME) functions by assisting with Fleet Technical Assists (FTAs) and Casualty Repairs (CASREPS) and participating in on-site activities to assist with the resolution of production, performance, or quality deficiencies and supporting scheduled shipboard assessment events to validate material and operational readiness of assigned systems. Major DutiesYou will serve as an Aegis SPY radar Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of Fleet Technical Assists (FTAs) and Casualty Repairs (CASREPS) for Aegis Baseline 5,7, 9 C SPY radar transmitter variants and signal processors variants.You will provide technical and engineering services in the performance, operation, maintenance, depot level repair and modernization, system testing/certification and fleet technical support of assigned systems and sub-systems on SPY RADAR systems.You will participate in scheduled shipboard assessment events to assess and validate material and operational readiness on SPY RADAR systems.You will identify, analyze, and document deficiencies necessary to develop comprehensive repair plans in support of depot level work packages and ship systems lifestyle programs for for the SPY RADAR system and sub-systems..You will provide on-site resolution and/or correction of production, performance, or quality deficiencies on assigned systems for ships SPY RADAR system and sub-systems..
