Salary: £40,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Next.js.Strong knowledge of back-end technologies, including Python, Node.js, and Next.js.Familiarity with databases and search indexes, including Elasticsearch and SQL-like databases.Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.Understanding of cloud platforms and deployment strategies.Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Experience with PyGeoAPI.Experience with Jira and Confluence.Currently eligible to work in the UK. Responsibilities: Develop responsive, accessible, and high-quality interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.Build and manage back-end services and APIs using Python and FastAPI/Flask.Develop APIs based on modern indexes such as Elasticsearch.Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences.Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software.Maintain and update existing applications, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements.Write technical documentation and assist in defining project requirements.Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing to streamline deployment processes.Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development. We are seeking a Full Stack Developer to build and maintain scalable web applications and platforms in a mixed cloud environment across Azure and AWS. This role involves working across the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. The position is based in our Exeter office with 1 to 2 days per week on site and the remaining days remote.
