About this role
GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Head of Strategic Pricing will be accountable for designing and executing group-wide pricing strategies across all KPJ hospitals. The role focuses on ensuring consistency, competitiveness, and profitability, while balancing regulatory compliance and patient affordability. This position requires strong analytical and strategic expertise, with responsibility for leading pricing governance, conducting market analysis, and driving revenue optimization across the hospital network. 1. Group Pricing Strategy & Governance
• Develop and implement standardized pricing policies across all hospitals under the Group.
• Establish governance frameworks to ensure transparency, compliance, and ethical pricing practices.
• Drive alignment of pricing strategies with group-wide business objectives and healthcare regulations.
2. Revenue Optimization & Market Analysis
• Lead comprehensive analysis of market trends, competitor benchmarking, and patient affordability studies.
• Provide insights and recommendations to the Executive Management team on pricing opportunities.
• Support hospitals with pricing models that optimize utilization, revenue, and service competitiveness.
3. Stakeholder & Cross-Hospital Collaboration
• Partner with hospital CEOs, COOs, and Finance Heads to understand local market conditions and align group pricing policies.
• Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to integrate value-based pricing approaches.
• Present group pricing performance dashboards and reports to the Group Executive Committee.
4. Operational Execution & Monitoring
• Oversee pricing system rollouts and ensure alignment with billing and finance processes.
• Monitor effectiveness of pricing structures across hospitals and recommend adjustments when required.
• Ensure audit-readiness, compliance, and integrity in pricing execution.
5. Team Leadership & Development
• Build and lead a pricing team, fostering analytical excellence and cross-functional collaboration.
• Build pricing expertise and analytical capability within the group.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
JOB REQUIREMENT
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• Master’s Degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CIMA, CPA) preferred. Knowledge and Experience:
• Minimum 12–15 years of experience in pricing, healthcare finance, or revenue management, with at least 5–7 years at a senior leadership level.
• Proven track record in developing group-wide pricing strategies within healthcare or similar regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of hospital operations, healthcare economics, and market regulations.
• Expertise in financial modeling, cost analysis, and pricing tools/software.
