About this role
1) SUMMARY OF DUTIES The Radiographer would be responsible for providing a polite, efficient competent and prompt x- ray services to patients. The Radiographer shall be available at all times to the Radiologist or Consultant for any emergency services. To perform any duties/task that been given by superior at any time and any places.
2) JOB DESCRIPTION
• To implement the policies and procedures for the Diagnostic Imaging Services in liaison with the management.
• To handling diagnostic imaging modalities and perform the procedure accordingly base on doctors / Consultant request.
• To take in charge on the x-ray equipment and their accessories as per instructed by Chief Radiographer, and to supervise the PPM service for that modalities.
• To assist in the daily operational and administration of the service in the liaison with the Chief Radiographer / Radiographer in – Charge.
• To assist in the training programmed for the new staff.
• Competent in handling all Diagnostic Imaging modalities including post-processing procedure.
• To take good quality radiographs and to keep low radiation dose to patient.
• To provide highest quality of patients care at all times to internal and external customers.
• To do overtime and other duties as designated by the Chief Radiographer / Radiographer In - Charge.
• To ensure all the departmental charges related to Diagnostic Imaging procedure and disposable items that has been used on the patient is well key-in especially during on-call time.
• To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-
- To take reasonable care at work for the safety of yourself and other persons; - To co-operate with your employer or any other person in the discharge of any duty; - To wear or use any protective equipment or clothing provided by the employer; - To comply with any instruction or measure on occupational safety and health.
• Participate actively in any other new service that is introduced by the department. Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001,MS 1514:2001,MS 1480:1999,FS HACCP Netherlands and /or Hospital Accreditation are adhered and records maintained ,if and when these programs are implemented.
• Ensure to actively participate in all 5S activities.
• Ensure the policies on patients and family’s right are addressed at all times.
• Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient safety (2008).
• Ensure adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP).
• Participate actively in any other new services that are introduced. Ensure all polices and procedures of ISO 9001: 2008, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and/ or Hospital Accreditation are adhered and records maintained.
• Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.
• To adhere to Standard People Practice (SPP) at all times.
3) JOB REQUIREMENT
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Radiography, Medical Imaging, or Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy.
• Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council (MAHPC).
• Possess a valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Minimum one (1) year of working experience or fresh graduate.
• Strong fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Aptitude in good team working.
• Good communication skill.
• Must be able to adapt any difficult situation.
• Capacity to communicate to other staff.
• Be prepared for on-call duties, shift rotations, and managing fast-paced workloads.
