Job SummaryYou will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Lifting & Handling Department (700), Deputy Lifting & Handling Dept (701), Crane Maintenance Division (730) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Ability to articulate understanding, knowledge and skill to co-workers on heavy mobile systems and components. Ability to understand operational theory, check-out procedures, and apply skills to perform heavy mobile equipment mechanic work. Ability to utilize heavy mobile systems and equipment.Ability to demonstrate trade theory and techniques.
