Salary: £25,760 - £27,476 per annum/pro rata

We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Worker band 3 who shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.

Clinical Support Workers are responsible for carrying out assigned tasks as part of the clinical team in support of registered nurses, and to undertake some aspects of care provision without direct supervision. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of patients/clients, always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights, through the adoption of persons centred care principles.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be an experienced clinical support worker, preferably with experience within an Emergency Department or other acute area. We are a great employer for supporting your career aspirations and welcome those aspiring to be a future Nursing Associate.

You will gain a great deal of knowledge and complement the nursing workforce to the benefit of patients

Ensure patients receive timely tests and investigations and that great care is at the heart of what we do

The Key responsibilities of this role include:

Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first

Undertakes a range of delegated clinical care duties to deliver agreed plans of care, acting on own initiative

Demonstrate, encourage and assist patients in undertaking therapeutic activities within parameters of agreed care plans and under guidance of registered practitioners

To ensure patients receive high quality clinical care and a good patient experience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs and doctrines

Recognise and avoid situations that may be detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the individuals

To act as an advocate for patients within the department, to ensure a patient orientated approach to the delivery of care

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Health, Social Care certificate

Experience Essential

Previous experience in an acute hospital setting Able to work without direct supervision from a Registered Nurse and accept responsibility for delegated work

Value Based Question Essential

Give an example of a time where you have demonstrated a 'can do' attitude (including the situation you were in) and the outcome

Skills Essential

Able to read, write, communicate and perform simple calculations Ability to prioritise workload with supervision Can demonstrate practical skills to others
