Job SummaryYou will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMMANDER, NAVAL SURFACE FORCE, U.S. ATLANTIC FLEET of CNSL ACCOUNTING EAST.

QualificationsYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience researching, analyzing, and resolving complex accounting discrepancies and financial issues. Experience preparing financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for leadership decision-making. Experience utilizing automated financial management and accounting systems (e.g., Navy ERP, DAI, STARS-FL, SABRS, or similar ERP systems). Ability to interpret and apply Federal financial management regulations, DoD Financial Management Regulation (DoD FMR), Treasury guidance, and applicable Navy policies. Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively, both orally and in writing. Major DutiesYou will perform or advise on all phases of accounting formulation and the execution of accounting and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities.You will review and evaluate budget requests, control and report obligations and expenditures and ensuring funds are allocated to or on behalf of COMNAVSURFLANT ships/units.You will provide strategic recommendations on the best course of action after coordinating with the various N-Codes within COMNAVSURFLANT.You will ensure all financial records are in balance, performing complex reconciliations to maintain data integrity and support ongoing audit readiness.You will be responsible for the forecasting and analysis of budgets, civilian labor execution and other financial requirements.
