About this role
GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Executive, Operations & Hospital Strategy (Data Analytics) supports the RCEO and Operations & Hospital Strategy team by delivering accurate data analytics, performance reporting, and business insights to monitor hospital performance and support operational decision-making across the Southern Region. The role is responsible for maintaining dashboards, analysing operational data, and supporting continuous improvement and strategic initiatives through data-driven reporting.
JOB DESCRIPTION 1. Data Collection & Management
• Collect, compile and validate operational, clinical and financial data from multiple hospital systems. • Ensure data accuracy, completeness and consistency for reporting purposes. • Maintain databases and reporting templates to support operational analysis. • Perform routine data cleansing and quality checks.
2. Performance Reporting & Dashboard
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly hospital performance reports. • Develop and maintain dashboards for key operational indicators (e.g. BOR, ALOS, revenue, patient volume, OT utilisation, clinic attendance). • Monitor performance trends and highlight significant variances. • Ensure timely submission of reports to Regional Office and relevant stakeholders.
3. Data Analytics & Business Insights
• Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, patterns and improvement opportunities. • Support root cause analysis for performance gaps. • Generate data-driven insights to support operational decision-making. • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and presentations for management discussions.
4. Operational Performance Support
• Monitor hospital KPIs and assist in tracking departmental performance. • Support benchmarking exercises across hospitals within the region. • Assist in identifying operational improvement opportunities through data analysis. • Track progress of operational improvement initiatives.
5. Business Intelligence & Process Improvement
• Support the development and enhancement of reporting tools and dashboards. • Assist in automating manual reporting processes where applicable. • Recommend improvements to reporting methodologies and data management processes. • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives relating to operational analytics.
6. Project & Analytics Support
• Support regional strategic and operational projects through data analysis. • Assist in preparing reports, presentations and performance summaries. • Gather and analyse information required for business cases and feasibility studies. • Support data requirements for transformation and operational excellence initiatives.
7. Stakeholder Coordination
• Work closely with hospital departments to obtain required operational data. • Coordinate with Finance, Quality, Nursing, Clinical Services, IT and other departments for reporting requirements. • Respond to data requests from Regional Office and Management. • Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of hospital data.
8. Compliance & Documentation
• Ensure compliance with reporting timelines and data governance requirements. • Maintain proper documentation of reports, datasets and analytical methodologies. • Support internal and external audits relating to operational reporting. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
JOB REQUIREMENT Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics, Healthcare Management, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, or related field. • Certification in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Power BI is an added advantage.
Knowledge and Experiences:
• Minimum 1–3 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business analysis, hospital operations, performance reporting, or related functions. • Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred. • Experience in preparing management reports and performance dashboards. • Exposure to operational, financial and KPI analysis. • Knowledge of data management and reporting processes.

Data Analytics & Reporting
• Ability to collect, analyse and validate data. • Experience in preparing reports and dashboards. • Understanding of KPI monitoring and performance reporting.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams. • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Technical Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. • Experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools is an added advantage. • Basic knowledge of SQL is an added advantage.

• Ability to function as a regional coordination/PMO role. • Strong business partnering capability with hospital leadership. • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
