Salary: £35,000 - 38,000 per year
Requirements: At least three years commercial experience in web development, ecommerce development, or technical website managementStrong hands-on Shopify experience, including Shopify themes and LiquidStrong HTML and CSS knowledge with practical JavaScript experienceExperience developing and troubleshooting ecommerce functionality, applications, APIs, webhooks, and third-party integrationsUnderstanding of technical SEO, website performance, testing, and troubleshooting best practiceAbility to assess an existing platform, recommend improvements, and take ownership of a business-critical websiteComfortable working independently, communicating clearly with non-technical colleagues, and coordinating external developers or software providersExperience developing B2B ecommerce platforms, customer portals, or trade websites is highly beneficialExperience integrating CRM, ERP, inventory, or accounting systems is advantageous, particularly with Xero, Erplain, or similar platformsAdditional experience with WordPress, PHP, Git, GA4, or other ecommerce platforms is welcomedExperience within luxury interiors, fabrics, wallpaper, furniture, premium retail, or another design-led ecommerce environment is beneficial but not essentialCandidates from Shopify agencies or digital studios with experience supporting luxury, retail, ecommerce, or visually led clients will also be considered Responsibilities: Take day-to-day technical ownership of our Shopify website, developing new features, troubleshooting issues, and improving performance across desktop, tablet, and mobile devicesWork with Shopify themes and Liquid templates and make front-end changes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptConfigure and troubleshoot Shopify applications, improve ecommerce functionality, and review page structure, navigation, and customer journeysHelp define the requirements for a future B2B trade portal, including how trade customers access products, pricing, account information, and online servicesAssess whether the trade portal should be delivered through Shopify or another platform, scope the required functionality and integrations, complete suitable development work directly, and coordinate external specialists where necessaryManage and improve connections between the website and wider business systems, including our CRM, inventory software, and accounting platformsWork with APIs, webhooks, and third-party applications, investigate integration issues, and identify opportunities to improve automation between systemsMonitor website speed, health, reliability, and technical performance, implement technical SEO best practice, and resolve issues affecting search visibility or customer experienceMaintain a clear development roadmap, document changes, and act as the first point of escalation for website-related technical issues Technologies: CSSCRMERPGitSupportJavaScriptLiquidMobilePHPShopifyWebWordPressMarketing More:
