About this role

Block Island School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered 0.4 Math Interventionist to support students in grades K–12 through targeted math intervention and MTSS programming. The successful candidate will collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to provide research-based interventions, progress monitoring, and individualized support to help students strengthen foundational math skills and achieve academic success. Qualifications include: - Rhode Island certification appropriate to assignment preferred - Strong understanding of math intervention strategies and MTSS practices - Ability to work collaboratively in a small K–12 school environment - Experience using student data to inform instruction preferred Position begins in the 2026–2027 school year.

Block Island is 12 miles off the southern coast of Rhode Island and can be accessed by ferry or plane. Successful candidate must live on Block Island during the school year because the ferry schedule does not coordinate with the school day. In addition, travel between the island and mainland is subject to cancellation due to weather.
