The position includes assisting the Principal Investigator and Research Coordinator II on one project: recruitment and implementation of a cohort study on toddlers ages 6-36m. The position requires skills in recruiting, scheduling, communicating, working with children ages 6-36m and their parents. There may be opportunity to work on other funded studies in the future.</p></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Job Duties</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Attend and pass BCM certified training on HIPAA and human subject research and consent procedures.</li> <li>Increase awareness and produce and distribute information to attract potential participants. </li> <li>Screen potential participants for eligibility.</li> <li>Schedule qualified participants and help with data collection activities in community studies.</li> <li>Assist in the data collection of a Diet &amp; Cognition program for toddlers, including data entry of data collected. Data collection could include, measuring participants Height and Weight, observing children&apos;s behavior during play activities, and administering survey questionnaires. </li> <li>Enter, monitor, maintain, verify, and keep current participant data in Access, Excel and RedCap database systems. </li> <li>Maintain records of data collection (screening, demographic files, clinic visits, game play). </li> <li>Maintain general recruitment records (computer and paper).</li> <li>Provide project manager and principal investigator with reports on study progress, data forms, data collection, intervention implementation and contacts, as requested.</li> <li>Attend project staff meetings.</li> <li>Assist with administrative duties of research study such as audit preparation, assisting in preparing the study reports, and organizing participant files.</li> <li>Adhere to study guidelines, policies, and procedures.</li> <li>Attend recruitment events to invite families to participate in current ongoing research studies. </li> <li>Ability to establish rapport with potential participants.</li> <li>Perform other job related duties as assigned. </li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Minimum Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>High School diploma or GED.</li> <li>Three years of relevant experience.</li> </ul></div></div><div style="padding:10.0px 0.0px;border:1.0px solid transparent"><div style="font-size:16.0px;word-wrap:break-word"><H2 style="font-size:1.0em;margin:0.0px">Preferred Qualifications</H2> </div><div><ul> <li>Bachelor&apos;s degree in a related field.</li> <li>Experience working with children.</li> </ul></div></div></div><p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Work Authorization Requirement:</strong></p> <p><strong>This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.</strong> Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment. </p> <p> </p> <p>Baylor College of Medicine is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action/Equal Access Employer.</p>
