About this role

Summary The Postdoctoral Research Associate supports grant-funded clinical research focused on anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The Postdoctoral Associate serves as a study therapist and/or independent clinical assessor across multiple clinical trials while contributing to research, scholarly publications, and mentorship activities. Under the supervision of Baylor College of Medicine faculty and licensed clinical psychologists, the Postdoctoral Associate receives advanced training in evidence-based interventions, clinical research methodology, and supervision. Job Duties Serves as a study therapist and/or independent assessor for NIH and other grant-funded clinical research studies. Delivers evidence-based psychological interventions in accordance with study protocols. Conducts diagnostic interviews and standardized clinical assessments for research participants. Maintains accurate and timely research documentation in compliance with study protocols and regulatory requirements. Participates in weekly individual and group supervision with BCM faculty and licensed clinical psychologists. Contributes to manuscript preparation, scientific presentations, grant proposals, and other scholarly activities. Assists with participant recruitment, screening, enrollment, and retention efforts. Collaborates with multidisciplinary investigators, research coordinators, and study staff. Provides tiered supervision, training, and mentorship to junior research personnel, trainees, and students, as appropriate. Participates in departmental seminars, case conferences, and other educational activities. Performs other research-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications MD or Ph.D. in Basic Science, Health Science, or a related field. No experience required. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, Counselor Education, or a closely related field from an accredited training program.
