About this role
The Line Operator will set up, operate, and adjust production machinery to ensure that the line runs safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer specifications. The Line Operator must acquire functional understandings of their assigned equipment(s) and possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical stoppages. Responsibilities:Set up lines and re-assemble equipmentCalibrate equipment and conduct parts changeoversInspect all equipment and stations prior to production start-timeOperate equipment and monitor line performance Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issuesPerform quality audits in accordance with food safety codeAccurately fill out all required documentation, pre-operational inspections, and daily productivity reportsPerform adjustments to equipment in cases of quality defectsOversee housekeeping and daily clean-up of respective areaPerform Post-operational sanitationCoordinate raw materials, packaging, and finished product with material handlersReport any issues and assist in near miss or accident investigationsQualifications:High school diplomaMechanical experience is a bonusMinimum of 1 year in machine operation, manufacturing environmentExcellent communication skills, both written and oral Working Conditions/Potential HazardsMust wear personal protective equipment while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas) - Safety shoes, safety glasses, company uniformMust wear hygiene required PPE while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas) - Hair net, beard/moustache net (if applicable)High lift-truck traffic Temperature changing environment: humidity, heat, coldNoise-heavy environment, personal hearing protection can be provided upon requestExposure to wet conditions, slippery floorsExposure to food odorsPossibility for heaving lifting, manually moving products up to 50lbsFast-paced environment3:30 pm to 11:00 pm
