Job summary We have an exciting opportunity within our brand new not-for-profit Childrens Services Residential Home in York. This service is a need-led childrens LD residential home, and we are now looking for an Ofsted Registered Manager to lead and develop the provision, setting the stage for a truly impactful service. About the Role As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our childrens residential home located in York, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities (LD) and other additional complex needs. As an experienced manager, you will confidently lead and support dedicated teams, fostering a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children and staff can thrive.

Main duties of the job As a Registered Manager at Agincare Children's Services, you will be at the helm of a new not-for-profit Children's Services Residential Home in York. This role involves leading and managing teams of Support Workers, ensuring the provision of high-quality care for children and young people with learning disabilities and other complex needs. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a positive, inclusive environment. Your experience in children's residential care, particularly in management roles, will be crucial in embedding best practices and achieving outstanding outcomes for the children and young people. The position offers a competitive salary of around £58,000, with opportunities for bonuses and career development.

What You Need to Be Successful in This RoleEssential: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of safeguarding,Ofstedregulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services. Experience in planning and implementing care plans and maintaining documentation to a high standard in line withChildrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015and Quality Standards. Experience supporting children and young people with learning disabilities who may display complex behaviours. Experience leading Ofsted home inspections.Desirable Experience opening or developing new services is advantageous.Why Join Us? Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years experience in childrens residential care, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role. In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted regulations, and relevant legislation in childrens services.
