Job summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Pharmacy Supervisor to join our small, supportive dispensary-based training team within Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This exciting opportunity combines training and educational responsibilities with hands on involvement in the day to day operation of a busy Inpatient dispensary service.
Main duties of the job The post holder will play a key role in supporting the induction, training, and development of Pre-registration Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-registration Pharmacists, Foundation Pharmacists, and other new starters across our inpatient pharmacy services. Working closely with the Pharmacy Technician Team Leader and Pharmacy Technicians, you will help coordinate structured induction programmes, provide one-to-one support, and contribute to creating a positive learning environment for new staff.
Alongside training responsibilities, you will support the safe and efficient dispensing of medicines, contribute to medication safety initiatives, and help ensure high standards of service delivery across our dispensaries. The role is based at St James's University Hospital, Leeds General Infirmary and Chapel Allerton Hospital as required.

What you will bring to the role You will have experience working within a hospital dispensary environment and a strong understanding of safe and effective medicines management processes. This post would suit an experienced pharmacy support worker, a registered pharmacy technician or someone who has the necessary organisational/ management skills and experience
