About this role

Job summary A Band 3 Senior Physiotherapy Assistant opportunity is available within the Neurosciences Physiotherapy service at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.

You will support the delivery of physiotherapy treatment to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. You will work alongside specialist physiotherapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, patient centred care

You will also complete administrative tasks, including data entry, and support the smooth running of the service.

Main duties of the job JOB PURPOSE

To undertake specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients. To accept patients referred by a physiotherapist and carry own patient caseload. Assess and treat patients according to set protocols with responsibility for planning, prioritising and organising this caseload appropriately monitoring patient progression and making alterations to patient treatments programmes as required. Work unsupervised reporting back patient progress and informing the referring practitioner of any non-routine problems or enquiries
