About this role

Job summary

This post forms part of a service currently subject to a service improvement and redesign programme. Service delivery models, roles and structures will be reviewed as part of the improvement process, which may result in changes and a consultation process in line with the Trust's Organisational Change Policy.

We are currently recruiting a forward thinking, reliable, enthusiastic established administration professional to join our busy administration team as a Medical Secretary based at Shawbrook House, aligned to The Bay Network.

As a vital team member you will provide excellent administration and communication skills and work flexibly in response to the service needs. You will provide a comprehensive secretarial, administration and information service to the specified Consultant(s) and the Multi Disciplinary Team. You will facilitate the organisation of the workload for the Consultant(s) and co-ordinate your activities with other medical Secretaries and administration colleagues, to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided. You will also provide day to day support to the CAMHS team and administration colleagues.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate must possess strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, be computer literate and be able to use a variety of systems including Excel and Microsoft Office. You must also have significant administration experience including minute taking and audio typing and possess excellent time management skills along with the ability to manage competing demands and priorities.

This is a varied, demanding and busy role and would suit someone who is highly motivated and capable of working on their own initiative, with a minimum level of supervision.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Good Level of education including Maths and English at GCSE or equivalent Business Administration NVQ 4 or equivalent ECDL

Knowledge Essential

Knowledge of a range of secretarial duties Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications Knowledge of Safeguarding Agenda

Experience Essential

Working in a Medical secretarial role Audio Typing Administration of meetings - organising, minute taking, document management.
