Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust to join the SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) team as a Specialist Practitioner (Advanced) on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and committed nurse with a passion for improving the experience and clinical outcomes of our patients and who inspires others to provide excellent patient care.

We are looking for nurses who have experience of working autonomously in a hospital setting and running nurse led clinics. Ideally you would have completed your history taking, physical assessment and non-medical prescribing course however we would not exclude aspiring nurses who would like to be part of this team.

As a trainee you could start as a Band 6 and be supported to undertake these courses as part the pathway.

Applicants who can demonstrate that they already meet the required competencies may be offered a Band 7 contract upon appointment. Both Band 6 and Band 7 appointments are offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
