Main duties of the job
About the Role
As a Band 5 Primary Care Nurse, you'll work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to residents. You'll be involved in emergency response, screening, vaccination clinics, and nurse-led care delivery across the prison.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care. Conducting assessments, triage, and risk evaluations. Attending medical emergencies. Administering medications and maintaining accurate records. Participating in audits, clinical governance, and service improvement. Supporting junior staff and contributing to team development
